Well…I grew up in Leander, Texas, just north of Austin. I started playing guitar when I was fourteen, and began writing songs soon after. My cousin, Daniel, had to drive me to my very first show because I wasn’t old enough to drive. I played other peoples songs for a long time. Meanwhile, I kept writing my own songs, until I made my first CD in 2005. I chose my favorite ten songs out of fifty or so that I had written (along with a Johnny Horton song from an old box set of mine), and soon after put the band together. I have been constantly ‘touring’ ever since. I love sports. I usually spend most of my spare time either playing golf or watching sports live or on television. I also love watching movies – comedies mostly, but a good action movie is great too. I grew up loving the country and the outdoors, and I still do. Although ‘something I’d like to do before I die’ (question above) is to travel around the world, my ultimate dream is to have my own ranch in Texas. No fancy house, no expensive car or one-of-a-kind guitar, just land. I’m lucky that I get to play music for a living, and that I have such great people supporting me and helping me with my career.
